Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin is undoubtedly not only the most powerful but also one of the most richest person today. 
He has been ruling Russia since 1999 and has transformed it into a authoritarian and militaralistic society.
His lifestory closely relates to the well said thought-

2. Life of a Spy

  • Putin pursued his graduation in Law at Leningrad State University.
  • In 1975 when he turned 22, Putin became a secret service agent in Russian secret service agency- KGB.

  • Earlier he was assigned duty at Leningrad, later during the course of Cold War he was sent to East Germany.
  • He was a very sharp agent of KGB, when the Berlin Wall came down he burnt all KGB documents so that the protestors won't get it.

3. Disintegration of USSR

  • The fall of Berlin Wall marked as the beginning of the end of Cold War.
  • USSR had turned weak due to economic imbalance.

  • In 1990 USSR was dissolved into 15 new countries including the new Russian federation ,USSR lost a territory of 2 million square miles.

4. The Entry in Politics

  • In year 1991, Putin left KGB and shifted his focus towards Politics.
  • Initially he worked in the Mayor's Office at Saint Petersburg.

  • Russia's First president Boris Yeltsin noticed Putin,and appointed him as the director of Federal Security Service (FSB), Russia's main intelligence agency.

5. The Primership

  • Untill 1999, Putin was an unknown member in Russian Politics,yet Boris Yeltsin initially appointed him as the Acting President and latter Acting PrimeMinister of Russia.
  • With the beginning of 21st century,Putin stood as a new leadership for Russia.

Today Putin is regarded as the longest serving President of the New Russian Federation.
