The Violent State
Today the people of Hong Kong are out on the streets, hundred and thousands are protesting against an unpopular bill.
The whole matter is not just about the bill,it is also about the status of HK,and the power that China has over it.
People have rose their voice for their freedom and rights.....and this all began with a murder!!!

1. The Murder Mistry

  • On 8/2/2018,a young HK couple went on a vacation to Taiwan,but only one of them returned.
  • Chan Tong-kai , killed his girlfriend Poon Hui-wing at their hotel.

2. The Extradition Agreement

  • Chan later agreed murdering his girlfriend who was pregnant at that time.
  • But HK government couldn't charge him as he had done the crime in Taiwan,nor could they send him to Taiwan to get charged,as both the government didn't had an Extradition Agreement.
  • In year 2019,HK passed such an agreement with Taiwan so that they could send the suspect to get charged.
  • Now it became indirectly necessary for Taiwan to pass a same agreement with China.

And this turned out to be the main reason behind the violence in HK.

3. The Protest

  • HK and China are 2 different territories, people need a official visa to travel from HK to China.

  • The Extradition Agreement with China means an encroachment of China into HK economic & Political autonomy.
  • On 9/6/2019 more than 1 million young HK citizens were estimated in the march on the streets of HK.

4. Chinese Supremacy

  • Back in 1993,HK contributed 27% to China's economy.

  • But now due to arousal of megacities like Shenzhen, Shanghai and Bejing now HK contributes less than 3% towards China's economy.
  • HK is an economic hub of Asia buy now China has unknowingly converted HK into a less significant city.

China is in hurry to engulf HK before 2047,the 55km long sea crossing bridge between China & HK is the biggest example of China's imperialist policy.
